Moksha Series 2007
The concept of moksha, a Sanskrit word meaning to release or set free, is found in the religious/philosophical concepts of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. Moksha is an individual’s liberation from the cycles of reincarnation (death and rebirth); the transcendence from the material passions and desires that cause human suffering. The Moksha Paintings evolved out of the Bardo Paintings and further abstracted the energy states which permeate our conscious and supra-conscious awareness..
